PSU-Sta. Maria HISTORY
The Pangasinan State University Sta. Maria Campus was once part of EPNAS which later became EPAC. During these early years, courses offered were BS in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy and Animal Husbandry and Two-year Associate Agricultural Technology. By virtue of PD 1497, collegiate programs, some members of the faculty and staff, facilities and equipment and a number of buildings were integrated to the Pangasinan State University System in the school year 1979-1980 and thus become PSU-Sta. Maria. Its first degree offerings include Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Husbandry, Crop Science, Agriculture Education, Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Extension.
The college continues to prosper since it is now part of the university system. Several construction and installation of infrastructures were realized under the initiative of our national and provincial government heads as well as our university and campus leaders. Some of these include Pangasinan Post Harvest and Processing and Handling Center of the PPHPC and the Capability Building Center (CBC), the Integrated Sustainable Agricultural Farm or ISTDF, the Knowledge Center and the Tissue Culture Laboratory which all aimed to augment the financial capability of the university, to serve farmers and the community and to provide opportunities to the economically challenged students.
Bringing the institution to where it is right now, campus leaders developed the campus significantly by continually improving the curricular offerings, responding to the demands of the local and global standards and supporting the technological and research breakthroughs. These campus leaders include:
Dr. Luz D. Segui — Interim Officer In-Charge
