PSU Joins ASCU-SN 2016 Friendship Games

ascu1This year’s Search for Mr. & Ms. ASCU-SN 2016 (Association of State Colleges and Universities-Solid North) hailed Friensky Macayana in the 1st Runner-up spot who allured the judges with his muscular physique and Erika Ulanday as she sashayed in her sporty chic look in the 2nd Runner-up spot held on May 19 at the Ortega Memorial Center, DMMSU, La Union.

CSU and DMMSU bets were the title holder. The runners-up in the female category came from ISPSC, CSU, and QSU; in the male category, PSAU, UNP and BulSU earned the runners-up spot.

This year’s ASCU-SN gathered 23 state colleges and universities from CAR, and Regions 1, 2, and 3 with the theme, “Initiating, Strengthening, Collaborations through Culture and Sports”.  Events played during the four-day activity included basketball, volleyball, shot put, fun run, badminton, chess, lawn tennis, darts, and table tennis.

The PSU delegation to the 2016 ASCU-SN is led by Vice President for Administration, Dr. Virgilio C. Barongan, Director for Sports Development, Dr. Robert G. Sison, Director for Human Resource Management Office, Mr. John F. Quinto, Deputy Director for Sports Development, Mr. Julius A. Sison and other campus officials, faculty and personnel. However, they are looking forward for a stronger and bigger delegation next year.
