Framing a Sound Fiscal Management: Ifugao State university Benchmark PSU

Unlocking greater opportunities for growth and partnership, Pangasinan State University hosted a benchmarking activity with the Ifugao State University (IFSU) on April 28, 2022 at the PSU Lingayen Campus.

The meeting of minds was forged to pick up best practices for challenges in relation to the new normal situation faced by state universities.

IFSU’s benchmarking activity capitalized on the institution’s Finance and Budget Management, Technology and Internal Control including its Income Generating Projects and Auxiliary Services.

Led by University President Dr. Dexter R. Buted, PSU takes pride in having a sound fiscal management that has benefitted its 1,200 employees and 31,000 students in various forms.

Dr. Buted addressed his fellow government employees from IFSU to always be one step ahead in all its systems, processes and undertakings.

“We are here to deliver comprehensive, relevant and quality education. It is the business of every state university to improve our services and uplift the life of people in the community. This is why we need to provide the real sense of quality education,” Dr. Buted remarked during the welcome program.

The transformative PSU President was joined by the Vice President for Administration and Linkages Dr. Elbert M. Galas, the Director for Public Relations, Publication and Information Office Dr. Renato E. Salcedo, the Director for Income Generating Projects and Auxiliary Services Dr. Narciso Castro, the OIC of Accounting Services Office Mr. Rennie Martinez, and the Campus Accountant of Lingayen, Ms. Marina Ruby A. Sulipa, who warmly welcomed the 22 delegates from IFSU headed by its Director for Finance, Dr. Juliet Daniels.

Pangasinan State University, an ASEAN premier educational hub, has been welcoming various universities and colleges to their physical benchmarking activities, subject to all health protocols and guidelines as enforced by the government.
