BEST PRACTICES

No one could ever advance in progress in a society plagued with the ill of disunity.
Establishing camaraderie through sharing, caring, and informing the community is one of the missions of PSU-BC’s Institute of Nursing.

With the onset of the pandemic, various concerns and needs of the Bayambanguenos have also risen. As one of the community’s partner, PSU-BC’s Institute of Nursing conducted seminars on communicable diseases, and family planning. In this manner, people’s health-related concerns were addressed. In addition to the seminars, the Campus Extension Office, in coordination with the Institute of Nursing (IN) also initiated giving of relief goods to the needy as well as giving of snacks to the frontliners. In one way or another, some of the physiological needs of the people have been supplied.
With these simple ways of helping, the IN has proven that PSU is not just excellent in delivering quality education but also, in addressing various needs of the community through service.

Rise as one.

By creating connections inside and outside the campus is one of the ways in assuring that the clients of the PSU Institute of Nursing (IN) are best served.

Prior to the pandemic, hygiene kits were given to Bayamabanguenos when IN launched a seminar on preventing Communicable Disease: COVID-19 at barangay Tanolong. Extending help to others does not end here. The IN also conducted a bloodletting program in cooperation with the Red Cross. Moreover, in coordination with the Rural Health Unit of Bayambang, alumni of PSU Laboratory High School, Kasama Kita sa Barangay & BAIPHIL, medical missions were done in the adopted barangay and in school. There were also eye check-ups along with the IN faculty and selected students. PSU is not merely an abode of educating the youth, but an institution that is willing to help the community at all times.
One of the lifebloods of a society is its people’s unity.

Sustaining excellence is leaving a legacy.

Annually, PSU-BC’s Institute of Nursing (IN) conducts a bloodletting program as a part of helping in saving other people’s lives. It has been the IN’s one of the many ways in extending a hand to the community.

Furthermore, Instructional Multiple Binaural Acoustic Stethoscope (IMBAS) were also distributed to various institutions such as VMUF, UPANG, LNU, PUNP, and UL in order to educate and help other nursing students. Thus, the technologies at hand of the IN could also be transferred to other universities as well. In this manner, learning experience is expanded.
A well sustained service is a stepping stone to progress.
