Pangasinan State University – Bayambang Campus is expected to fulfil its obligation of equipping all students with the competence and qualities needed to face the challenges beyond four corners of the classroom. Students develop and acquire new set of unique learning experiences, they can have a hands-on experiences using adequate equipment. All the laboratory equipment in the Nursing and Natural Sciences are maintained, microscopes and weighing scale are properly calibrated periodically as an efficient learning are for students’ training and assessment. There are guidelines for maintenance of laboratory that must be followed by the students. Guidelines are intended to ensure the optimal experience of the students and to promote safe, knowledgeable, effective learning area that reinforces highest level of development and readiness. All laboratory equipment are stored properly, cleaned, checked regularly because the school has maintenance and repair personnel which provide services on direct call. Repairs which are technical and beyond the knowledge of the personnel mentioned above are channelled to the respective distributors or suppliers.

Highly skilled and competent computer technician is hired to check and to ensure the functionality and safety of each computer unit in the laboratory., In adherence to R.A. 7277 (Magna Carta for Disabled Persons), the campus hired a PWD as a technician. With the expertise of the laboratory technician, the 3R (Repair to Reduce Requisition) policy is implemented. This ensures the adequacy of computer units to be used by the students.

Students are given orientation about the laboratory rules and regulations to avoid any accident. These rules are regulations are conspicuously posted in the laboratory. Also, computer literacy manual is available to provide thorough instructions and guidelines which include simple to complex uses of computer laboratory as an aid to learning. Moreover, an internet connection with a speed that can cater all computer units is installed in the laboratory.

Nutrition laboratory is a facility that can be found at Food Innovation Center, where students has an exposure to dedicated equipment for teaching practical side of nutrition in health care. The purpose of nutrition laboratory in nursing is beyond the cooking skills, but it is more about the applied human nutrition to meet the special dietary requirements or health goals of the patient.

Nutrition laboratory is a place where not only healthy eating is promoted, but also, through creative and fun culinary activities, it provides students the opportunity to learn about proper food preparation, food safety, servings, and correct association of food in menus.

The laboratory includes industry-standard cooking equipment, and also contains healthy eating educational tools. All laboratory equipment are stored properly, cleaned, checked regularly because the school has maintenance and repair personnel which provide services on direct call.
